•  Development of Growth Balance Analysis (GBA): a mathematical tool to study growing cells/ Entwicklung der Growth Balance Analysis (GBA): ein mathematisches Werkzeug zur Untersuchung wachsender Zellen. 

•  Discovery of an optimal mathematical relationship between the concentrations of enzymes and their substrates, validated by in vivo data from the bacterium E. coli / Entdeckung einer optimalen mathematischen Beziehung zwischen den Konzentrationen von Enzymen und ihren Substraten, validiert durch in-vivo-Daten des Bakteriums E. coli.

•  Discovery of an optimal mathematical relationship between the ribosome concentration and the cell growth rate, validated by in vivo data from the bacterium E. coli and the yeast S. cerevisiae/ Entdeckung einer optimalen mathematischen Beziehung zwischen der Ribosomenkonzentration und die Zellwachstumsrate, validiert durch in-vivo-Daten des Bakteriums E. coli und die Hefe S. Cerevisiae. 

•  Discovery of an exact mathematical solution for the resource allocation problem imposed to growing cells in constant environments/ Entdeckung einer exakten mathematischen L¨osung fu¨r das Ressourcenzuteilungsproblem, das wachsenden Zellen in konstanten Umgebungen auferlegt wird.
